Keyboardist Pat Azzarello joins DysFUNKsion with many years of experience. Born in Chicago, music has always had a prominent place in his life. Starting with piano lessons at age 6, his first band at 11, a Rhodes electric piano at 12, organ at 14, first bar gig at 15, and his first synthesizer at 16, music and technology found an intersection with him at a young age. He received his degree from Chicago’s DePaul School of Music, and also spent time at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, studying with a wide variety of accomplished performers, composers, arrangers, engineers and producers in school and beyond. After graduation he made his living as a professional musician for many years, racking up over 1000 recording sessions and many more gigs in a large variety of styles while fusing a love of music and technology.

He moved to Seattle in 1994 because he loved the beauty of the area and to work in the high tech sector. Since then, Pat’s played with a number of local bands, but focused most of his musical energy recording his own music, ranging from jazz to orchestral. His work even included a short film score recorded with a real orchestra.

When not working with the band or at his day job, you’ll probably find Pat juggling a busy schedule with his wife Kelly, son Connor and daughter Sydney.
