Ponce Bautista was born in Oakland California and started to play drums since he was 7 years old. His early experiences included performing with numerous drum and bugle corps throughout the Pacific Northwest and California. During his time with these musical groups he met his percussion mentor, Ralph Hardimon, who taught Ponce all aspects of percussion. Ponce has played with various musical groups and rock bands since High School. Recently, he has performed and recorded locally with 'The Murphtones', 'A measureAhead', 'The Soul Proprietors', St. Stephens Life Teen band, and Choral Sounds Northwest. Being with dysFUNKsion helps him complete his quest to play with talented, entertaining,musicians.
